Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player claimed his first championship for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The Russian, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a difficult period, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in specific - resulted in him falling of the top ten and ultimately splitting with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Currently working with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
It is his maiden title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after that period of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my children simultaneously, so to get a trophy is particularly special," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six finals, including in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had caused some to question if his ability to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an improved service.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, taking four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the following set before the challenger, striving for his initial tour title, took control to push for a third set.
Moutet saved 4 early chances in a tight final set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev clinched the title with a shot at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
